Mobile Consular Service

Applicant must apply for an e-passport in person at the Royal Thai Consulates General or at the Mobile Consular Units because his/her biometric data, such as finger prints, must be collected in contactless integrated circuit.

      • Important Documentations to bring to the interview
        1. An e-passport application form/Thai reporting form [Download]
        2. Both original and a photocopy of your Thai Identity Card (personal 13 digit numbers) or Thai House Registration
        3. Your current Thai Passport
        4. Photocopy of the current Thai Passport page 1 to 4 (1 set)
      • e-Passport Fee $US 35.00 Postal Money Order or Cashier’s check made payable to “Royal Thai Consulate General, LA (we do not accept cash or personal check)
      • How To Receive Your Passport
        1. Applicant may receive his/her passport at the Royal Thai Consulate General or at the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BKK by himself/herself, showing the receipt. However, the applicant’ representative may receive his/her passport, showing a power of attorney together with the receipt and an ID card of the representative.
        2. Applicant may request the Royal Thai Consulate General to mail his/her passport, providing us with prepaid self-addressed envelope from the Post Office (not accepting Meter Stamp).

        **NOTE All documents and biometric data of applicants have to be sent to the Foreign Ministry, BKK to produce passports and then the passports will be sent to the Royal Thai Consulate General. Processing time is about 6 – 8 weeks . The Royal Thai Consulate General is not responsible for any lost mail.
