DETAILS

“Songkran” is considered the Traditional New Year of Thailand. The Temple celebrates this day with many traditional activities and beautiful ceremonies.

The day will begin with community members making offerings in the Main Buddha Hall (Sanghadana). This is followed by the monks walking on ceremonial alms around in the central courtyard of the temple.

Students of Wat Buddhanusorn Sunday School will showcase Thai culture with traditional classical dance and music performances. There will also be the traditional “watering” of Buddha images, monks, and elders as a way to show respect, express our gratitude, and receive their blessings.
