Event Details

Loy Krathong is one of the most beautiful and popular festivals in Thailand. Every year, Loy Krathong falls on the night of the twelfth lunar month (usually in November), at the end of the rainy season when the full moon lights up the sky.

Loy Krathong means floating on lotus-shaped banana leaf vessels. The Krathong usually contains a candle, sticks of incense, and flowers. It is believed that the Krathong carry away bad luck. Indeed, it is the time to worship the Buddha and be joyful and happy as the rainy season is nearing its end.
